Complete an initial status report entry that covers the whole group EP Workshops facilitated by Bethany on Friday, Sept. 7, and Friday, Sept. 21. This first status report should address the following: a. Where you are in your process of creating your portfolio (e.g., digital folders and related artifacts, tool choice, actual design, URL, etc.) b. What your additional categories are that you feel will best represent your identity as a beginning middle grades ELA / SS teacher (at least 2 more than the 5 required ones: content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, impact on student learning, 21st C technologies and skills) c. What your initial ideas for a theme are (e.g., an intentional focus or creative metaphor that gives insight to your identity as an individual and a beginning middle grades ELA & SS teacher) and related design considerations (e.g., layout, color scheme, images, quotations, video, etc.)
I am using a Weebly to create my portfolio and it can be found there.
Status Report 1- 9/7 a) So far I have created all of my digital folders on my laptop, and I have started dropping items into each category. b) Community Involvement, and I havent really figured out what exactly I am going to do for my second category c) So far I think I want my theme to be "Imagine Me" It is basicaly the title of a gospel song that I feel has a really good message and central theme Overall, I am still in the brainstorming process, but I am excited!
Status Report 2- 9/28: So far I have a lot updated to my portfolio! I took pictures today and uploaded them to my site. I am still trying to find my artifacts and I am working on my reflection pieces. I went to get my pictures taken today at the Alumni Center on Centennial Campus. The pictures I took today are going to be used for my my main home page and also for my About Me section as well.
Status Report 3- 10/12
Today I put the finishing touches on my Home Page introduction and theme. I kept going back and forth on the header photo, but now I finally settled on the photo of the cap in the air. I also Finished my About Me page write up as well. I may go back and do a bit more editing, or adding, but so far it is complete.
Status Report 4- 11/2
Today I sat down and typed up my annotated list of classes and added that to my Content Knowledge page. I also Did the annotations for my CK page as well. I also added all of my artifacts for Content Knowledge on the page, so this page is good to go! Today I also worked on my pedagogical and professional skills page. So far I have the annotations for this page taken care of and out of the way. I added the Unit Plan from Dr. Pope's course last semester, and I still need to add a SS artifact. I am planning to add my history lesson plan from Crystal's class
Status Report 5 & 6- 11/19 && 11/26
These two days was when I did the finishing touches on practically everything! I wasn't able to post after my work on 11/16 so I added it to todays posting. I finished up my two extra categories, and added all of the annotations, and photos to the pages. I also have my leadership and collaboration page completed as well. The only thing I need to add to all of these are my reflections for my artifacts.
